Coaches #112, #125 and #133

Coaches
#112 “ORVILLE”(top photo); #125 “KEYSTONE” (center
photo); and #133 “ADDIE CAMP” (bottom photo)
were originally part of a series of interurban
passenger equipment built by the American Car
Company for the Oregon Electric Railway in 1913.
Some of the equipment from this series was, in
turn, sold to the Pacific Great Eastern Railway
in British Columbia, Canada, where they were used
until the mid-1960s. The Black Hills Central purchased
the 112, 125, 133, 140, 144, and several other
cars in the early 1970s. The Addie Camp features
its authentic interior with few changes, while
the Black Hills Central staff completely restored
the Orville in 1997. The Keystone was returned
to service after its complete restoration in 2004.
