    Driving to Hill City from Rapid City

    1. Take US-16 W/US-385 S/E to Hill City
    2. Turn left onto Railroad Ave/Walnut Ave (.1 mile) A large train car featuring 1880 Train signage will be on your left
    3. Turn left at Elm St (Main entrance)

    Driving to Hill City from Custer

    1. Take US-16 E/US-385 N to Hill City
    2. Make a slight right at the stop light toward Railroad Avenue
    3. Travel north on Railroad Ave for .3 miles
    4. Turn right at Elm St (Main Entrance)

    Hill City Depot Parking: Free parking (including RV) is available in our parking lot at the Hill City Depot. Multiple Handicap parking spots are located in convenient locations throughout our parking lot. Two Electric Vehicle charging stations are available for electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles for ticketed passengers.

    Driving to Keystone from Rapid City

    1. Take US-16W 17 miles
    2. Use the left lane to take the US-16A ramp to Mt Rushmore (.3 miles)
    3. Continue on US-16A E 3.4 miles
    4. The Keystone Depot is the first building on your right on Keystone’s Main Street

    Driving to Keystone from Custer

    1. Take US-16E/US-385N
    2. When entering Hill City, make a slight right at the stop light toward Railroad Avenue
    3. Use the right lane to take the US-16A ramp to Mt Rushmore
    4. Continue on US-16A E 3.4 miles
    5. The Keystone Depot is the first building on your right on Keystone’s Main Street

    Keystone Depot Parking: On-street public parking near the Keystone Depot has a 3-hour limit. There are several all-day paid lots nearby in Keystone. We suggest parking in one of two paid lots in Keystone. The first is located north, across the street from the train station. The second is located in front of the Borglum Story Museum, 3 blocks south of the Keystone Depot. A limited number of Handicap parking spots are available in these paid lots or on-street within 1 block of the Keystone depot.
