Mother's Day Express May 13
As you treat your mother to a unique and unforgettable steam train ride through the beautiful Black Hills, which adventure will you choose? We have two ticket options available this day. See details below.
Champagne, cupcakes and more! Enjoy bubbly beverages, a tasty treat, a delectable dessert, and entertainment. This is definitely an adventure your mother will never forget. Tickets are $39 for adults, $20 for ages 3-20 and children 2 and under, ride for free. Designated driver tickets are available. The designated driver ticket price is $34 per person and includes everything except the champagne; a non-alcoholic sparkling juice will be served instead. Ticket prices do not include tax.
Standard option. If you wish to have a scenic ride aboard the 1880 Train without all the extras, regular reservations are also available for the 1:15pm departure on Mother's Day. Rates for this option are our regular rates at only $24 for adults, $12 for children ages 3-12 and children 2 and under ride for free. (This option does not include any food, beverage or entertainment)
Get your tickets early. Call 605-574-2222 to make reservations or make them online. You must specify which option you would like at time of reservation. Train departs Hill City station at 1:15pm and round trip ride takes approximately 2 hours.

1880 Train's South Dakota Appreciation Weekend May 19 & 20
May 19th and 20th, 2012 will be South Dakota Appreciation Weekend! During these two days, buy one adult ticket, and another passenger will ride for free. This is the perfect opportunity to ride the 1880 Train with your family. Tickets are $24.00 for adults, children 3-12 are $12.00, and children under 3 ride for free. Choose from the following dates and times:
May 19th, 2012
- Hill City Departures – 10:00 am & 1:15 pm
- Keystone Departures – 11:15 am
May 20th, 2012
- Hill City Departures – 10:00 am & 1:15 pm
- Keystone Departures – 11:15 am
Advanced reservations are required and must be made no later than 24 hours prior to your desired departure time. Offer only valid for South Dakota residents, and you must present a South Dakota ID upon collecting tickets. A credit card is required to hold reservations. All canceled reservations are subject to a $10 per passenger cancelation fee. Discount is not valid with any other offer or discount. Enjoy the magical talents of Cody Landstrom on board the train for the 3:45pm and 6:45pm departures on July 25th. Advanced reservations for these departures are highly recommended. Regular cancellation policy and 2012 train ride rates apply.

Oktoberfest September 29
Celebrate Oktoberfest on board the 1880 Train! On September 29th, 2012, the 1880 Train, with support from friends at Eagle Sales of the Black Hills, will hold its third annual Oktoberfest Express.
Prior to departure, enjoy fun and festive live music by Easy Sounds of Rapid City. On board, passengers will enjoy authentic seasonal beer while enjoying traditional German foods. A costume contest will be held, so wear your lederhosen!
Tickets are $48.00 per passenger. This train ride is for passengers 21 and older, only. Bring a valid photo ID. All guests who appear to be less than 30 years of age will be required to show a valid ID in order to participate. Designated driver tickets are available. The designated driver ticket price is $43 per person and includes everything except the beer; soda or water will be served instead. Ticket prices do not include tax.

My husband, daughter and I had a delightful experience Sat. afternoon. The cameraderie, food, scenery, friendly service (a lot of people were served with no mess) were excellent.
